With everything that’s going on lately and many now home, time management for most has probably gone out of the window. We can barely keep track of what day it is anymore! So we came up with a list that’ll help us all make the most out of our time!

Mark Your Calendar

Keep track of dates, deadlines and goals by using a calendar to help stay organized. Use the calendar app that comes with your phone, Google Calendar and more. If you value a physical form, invest in a planner or dated whiteboard.

Set Reminders

Set reminders throughout the day to stay on track with all tasks. Apps like “Reminders” can be synced to any calendar you already have on your device such as Yahoo, iCloud and etc. You can also use your own words and voice with “Voice Memos” to replay points for later.

Set Time Limits Per Task

Be intentional with your time and limit how long you spend working on each project. Putting a time frame around your task will allow you to be more focused and creative. Make your own deadlines!

Plan Ahead

Create a routine and plan ahead for what you are going to accomplish day to day. Having an agenda for your day builds consistency and confidence. Jot down bullet points on your calendar or to-do list in order of what needs to get done, prioritize!

Break Time

Knowing when to take a step back is key for preserving that creative spirit. If you feel like you’re overworked, it’s okay to reset and refresh. It’s better to approach tasks with a fresh mind to increase productivity!

Pamper Thyself

Checking in with yourself and assessing your needs is essential in one’s ability to perform throughout the day. How are you feeling? Good, even great should be the answer to that question. If not, what are some things you can do to make that happen. Avoid burnout by staying committed to a system that works just for you!

Just Say “No”

When your time is accounted for, you’ll find you won’t always be able to pick up extra tasks or last minute work. If you’re working against deadlines, it’s okay to say no. No need to feel guilty, it’s responsible to know what you can handle.

The 4 D’s

  • Delete — Distractions, scrolling, time escaping
  • Delegate — Reach out to team members for help finishing to-do’s
  • Defer — Plan and strategize for completing tasks you will revisit later
  • Do — If you won’t do the other 3 D’s your only option is to — JUST DO IT like Nike
